GCSE Science 2006 This NEW one-day course will explore the new GCSEs and entry level qualifications for science, to be taught from 2006 for first examinations in 2007/8. The course will explain the thinking behind the changes to the programme of study and subject criteria, review the evaluations of the pilots, and compare and contrast the new qualifications offered by Edexcel, AQA, OCR, WJEC and CCEA. The course will consist of presentations and discussions, and group tasks using samples of the published specifications. The target audience is Key Stage 4 science teachers, heads of department and advisers. |
