Dr Martin Hollins
PGCE, DIC, PhD

Martin works for QCA as Head of Assessment Development and Principal Consultant for Science and Technology. He has led the development of the new programme of study for Key Stage 4 and the qualifications criteria, and managed the accreditation of the new specifications. Throughout his six years at QCA, Martin has worked on National Curriculum review, National Curriculum tests, schemes of work and developments at A Level and AS.

Prior to working for QCA, Martin taught science at primary, secondary and tertiary levels and had posts in ITT and CPD. He has directed a number of National Curriculum development projects including BBC Primary Science and University of Bath Science 16-19.

His current professional interests include international science policy and curriculum development, and the continuing professional development of science teachers.
