Future of Inspection
How to make effective use of self-evaluation This NEW one-day course explores the short-notice inspection framework, to be introduced from September 2005. Under the new framework, inspectors will draw on a school's self-evaluation to arrive at their judgements, thus testing the accuracy and reliability of your judgements. The course aims to empower and support schools to prepare for this new system. It will help you develop well-co-ordinated and rigorous systems of self-review, and offer guidance on what the experience of being inspected under the new system will be like. The course includes examination of the
Children's Act 2004 and Every Child Matters , both key elements underpinning the new framework. The course is designed for senior managers of primary, secondary and special schools, and other colleagues responsible for inspection.
