Gulshan Kayembe, BSc, PGCE, MA
Gulshan is a Registered Inspector, education consultant and trainer.
She has over ten years' experience of leading Ofsted inspections in primary and secondary schools.
Her experience includes:
- Writing training materials for Ofsted and inspection contractors
- Training new Ofsted inspectors
- Training existing Ofsted inspectors in inclusion, SMSC and the new framework
- Leading reviews of EAL and ICT provision for three LEAs
- Delivering training to EAL staff in schools and LEAs on the implications of the new framework for inspection of EAL provision in schools
- Working as a Quality Assurance reader of Ofsted reports for three inspection providers
Gulshan has accreditation from the DfES as a Performance Management
Consultant and External Advisor for headteacher performance. Her experience
in this area includes:

Tutoring on masters courses in Leadership and Management and ICT

Developing and delivering training to LEA staff on recruitment and selection, and diversity and performance development review (staff appraisal)

Training and mentoring headteachers in self-evaluation

Advising governors on headteacher performance development review
Prior
to going freelance, Gulshan worked as an LEA inspector in the London Borough
of Brent.
